Fairhurst is joined here by an excellent band of British musicians, including Tim Giles (drums) and James Allsop (saxes), and the music draws on the sound of the 1970s Herbie Hancock Mwandishi band and the same era's Miles Davis, but he couples it with home-grown elements including the melodic quirkiness of the Loose Tubes school, Iain Ballamy having been an early Fairhurst mentor.
"Award-winning young pianist Richard Fairhurst is a powerful keyboard virtuoso capable of both meditation and funkiness." John Fordham - The Guardian
