Album Information:
The leader of the Blue Planet Orchestra, Roland Perrin, was born in New York City. He spent most of his childhood roaming the planet with his itinerant family, so it is not surprising therefore that he developed a global view of music.
Eventually settling in London and working as a jazz pianist and composer, Roland has toured and recorded with many international musicians.
Roland’s love of world music means he has worked with musicians from Cuba,
Venezuela, Colombia, Brazil, Trinidad, Jamaica, Ethiopia, Congo, South Africa, Mozambique and Nigeria. His own music reflects his wide musical taste and experience.
In this 1999 eponymous album Roland Perrin introduces the Blue Planet Orchestra
and their unique fusion sound, playing nine self penned tracks, and one classic California Here I Come.
