Sue Richardson is the unusual combination of
jazz singer and trumpet player. She began her musical career as a big band
trumpet player. On moving to London from her hometown in Bedfordshire, Sue
studied singing and performed with the BBC whilst also developing her love for
jazz trumpet. After a music degree at Goldsmiths College London, Sue became a
professional singer and trumpet player, working on cruise ships and hotels all
over the world. This debut album, featuring her own compositions and
arrangements, is the culmination of the work she has been doing since returning
to the UK and settling on the South Coast.
"..the ideal showcase for her versatility as a sweet-toned vocalist, dynamic trumpet player and classy arranger." Jazzwise

Over the past few years singer Sarah Moule has established a rapidly growing reputation as one of Britain’s most exciting new jazz talents. 'A Lazy Kind Of Love' marked an exciting new direction for Sarah
and looks set to confirm her reputation as one of the UK's finest
interpreters of modern song. Building on the success of her two highly
acclaimed releases for Linn Records, 'A Lazy Kind Of Love'
is packed with surprising, intriguing and delightful songs delivered
with insight, character and a seductive lightness of touch, which
combine to draw the listener into the world of each lyric. The songs
come from Beat Generation Survivor Fran Landesman and Simon Wallace;
Julie Burchill, who makes her song co-writing debut with Landesman and
Wallace on the title track; Australian writer and broadcaster Clive
James and his longtime song-writing partner Pete Atkin, who sings
harmony vocals on 'Living In Overdrive'; and composer and producer (and
Madonna's brother-in-law) Joe Henry. Complementing these contemporary
songs are the Bob Dorough/Terrell Kirk Jnr classic 'Devil May Care', and
Jule Styne/Sammy Cahn's 'I Fall In Love Too Easily'.
"Honeyed in sound, subtle in timing and pitch, shrewd in weighting the music with meaning." The Guardian
